Proud Employee of Yellowduck, Ltd.
First week of March 2011 I got hired as the corporate blogger for Bling Duck, a brand of Yellowduck, Ltd. Our company’s office is based in HongKong but we get to work here as freelancers! Dunno though if we’re going to stay in Duck vacation homes when we’re there, kidding!
The pay is also good and my bosses are very supportive so I’m quite lucky, eh?
Bling Duck is a flip flop brand. It’s a trendy, seriously fun – perfect for urban professionals. It’s still to be released in the market so we’re doing everything to promote the product.

How Safe is St. Dalfour Cream?
I dunno. I heard a lot of women gushing over these tiny bottles of wonder but it seems too good to be true. I maybe looking for ways on how to get rid of acne fast but I will not try this product. A lot claim that their complexion improved within 5 days or less on the first use and why question is: isn’t too soon? I’m afraid that the so claimed “natural product” has high mercury content and topical steroids that accelerate the healing of the acne and whitening of the face.
If that’s the case then St. Dalfour Cream is not safe to use.

St. Dalfour cream originally came from Kuwait but since it’s release, a lot has claimed that theirs are the original ones which makes it even scarier LOL
Here is an excerpt from GMA7′s news about the banning of St. Dalfour cream because of it’s high mercury content:
SEPTEMBER 2010 UPDATE
FDA bans 5 more beauty products for high mercury content
The Food and Drug Administration has outlawed at least five beauty products from Japan and Taiwan after finding out the items contained high levels of mercury. In a circular, the FDA authorized inspectors to seize the five products, which it described as “imminently injurious, unsafe or dangerous.”
“(These products) contain heavy metal (mercury) exceeding the allowable limit of 1 ppm (part per million). These cosmetic products therefore pose imminent danger or injury to the consuming public and the importation, selling or offering for sale of such is in direct violation of Republic Act No. 9711 or the Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009,” acting FDA director Nazarita Tacandong said in FDA Circular 2010-015.
The circular was dated Aug. 31 but a copy posted on the FDA website only Wednesday.
She identified the five products as:
- St. Dalfour Beauty Whitening Cream (Tokyo, Japan)
- Beauty Girl Papaya & Hawthorn Essence (10 Double Whitening Speckles Removed Essence), Yudantang International – Taiwan
- Beauty Girl Ginseng & Green Cucumber (10 Double Whitening Speckles Removed), Taiwan
- Beauty Girl Essence Aloe Pearl (10 Double Whitening Speckles Removed Essence), Taiwan
- Beauty Girl Olive & Sheep Essence (10 Double Whitening Speckles Removed Essence), Taiwan
Tacandong also ordered food and drug regulation officers to “seize immediately the above identified cosmetic products for custody from all outlets or establishments where they may be found.”
Likewise, she sought the assistance of all local government units and consumers in “reporting all outlets found selling the above products.” — LBG, GMANews.TV

My aunt is using it and yes I saw some changes on her face. Hell, even her black moles have lightened! How scary is that? I don’t just know what’s going to happen after she stops using St. Dalfour Cream
Oh well, I still trust my instinct because most of the time it’s right.
Anyone here has used/are using St. Dalfour Cream? Please share your thoughts and experiences
My Neutrogena Fine Fairness Range
Last December 2010 I joined the Task 3 of Neutrogena’s Fine Fairness game in Facebook. I never thought I’d win but luck was on my side perhaps so guess what? I got included in their edited list of winners, yay!
I got the cleanser, toner, lotion, cream, brightening UV moisture, serum and deep whitening mask. The whole range costs about P4,900
Not bad, really! I just hope that this is the perfect acne skin care treatment for my skin. Oh well, best of luck to me and my badly hurt fez.
On Weddings, Wedding Cakes and Wedding Rings
Weddings especially beach or garden ones get me teary-eyed. It’s one thing that every woman wants to experience: to have the chance to walk down the aisle in veil and the most gorgeous gown. It’s not part of our plans but if my husband asks me again to marry him, this time in the beach or garden, I’d gladly say yes.
Last weekend, it was our first time to make a wedding cake. The order was from a couple scheduled to be wed in Monte de Portofino, Alabang. I didn’t know who made her gown or she was made to choose between diamond or cubic zirconia wedding rings, all I knew was they chose PH Bakehouse for their cake and cupcakes

Beautiful, isn’t it?
LF: Student Laptop Insurance
Do we have student laptop insurance here in the Philippines?
My graduating sister is getting herself a new laptop but I’m afraid that she might lose it somewhere. Getting a student laptop insurance is the best solution, I guess. I just don’t have the slightest idea if it’s available here in the Philippines. Is it?
The cost of a laptop is no joke, especially if the student will buy it using her own money so getting one with a student laptop insurance is one wise move, right?
We’re getting Cignal TV!
Gone are the days when people worry about tv antennas because now, even if you live in a deserted island, you can still watch your favorite TV shows given that you have a television, electricity (of course!) and digital TV broadcast.
We have asked for the services of Skycable but got turned off in the end, paloko-loko eh so we’re giving Cignal TV a chance.
We’ve been hearing a lot of good feedback from subscribers so hubby and I decided to give it a go.
Starbucks in SM Rosario, yes, you heard it right: SM ROSARIO
I was in SM Rosario last November 30, 2010 to give a talk about blogging to 4th year students of Cavite State University and surprise! surprise! They have Starbucks!

Of course I didn’t waste my time by looking at their modern furniture, instead I grabbed a grande of my ever favorite Peppermint Mocha! It just sucks that there’s no Starbucks near my place – I can have this drink all day and night!

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha: Espresso, steamed milk, mocha sauce and peppermint flavored syrup, topped with sweetened whipped cream and dark chocolate curls.
It’s just sad that this personal favorite is only available during the Christmas season

Easy and Safe Online Shopping at Buy.com
At this point in time when the $-Php valuation is very, very, very low, online $ earners like me has the option to hold on to their dollars and wait for the Philippine peso to weaken (absurd but heck, reality bites! we need to earn da*nit) or shop at popular shopping sites like buy.com.
On my case, I went online shopping for baking supplies in Buy.com’s cool weekly deals. I got pans and other Wilton stuff that will make our baking (and life!) a notch easier.
See? There’s always a bright side in everything =) Instead of sulking because the dollar conversion is very low, use it to your advantage =) Shop online and get awesome deals in just a few pesos!
Globe Tattoo: Should I Love You?
I know that there’s no perfect ISP (Internet Service Provider). Even PLDT DSL sometimes upsets me. My Smartbro used to be okay until most of our neighbors where using it so the network became very congested.
Suncellular Broadband is perfectly good in Metro Manila, but not in provinces. Each of them have certain spots where services are okay because as they say, it’s always SIGNAL BASED.
When my DSL got broken – yes, and until now they still haven’t fixed it, I’ve switched to Globe Tattoo because they say it’s okay here in Cavite. Yes it is, especially if you’re not a heavy user. It’s fast though I’m upset that I can not download movies because of it’s 1G threshold. Now I’m back to watching blu ray DVD copies of my favorite TV series.
I’m keepin’ my Globe Tattoo in case my DSL conks out again.
