Blessed and Thankful
As a work-at-home mom, I no longer have to get up early, wear corporate clothes and commute to work every freaking day – for this I am already thankful. I earn a decent sum of money at the comforts of my own home so I am with my kids 24/7 – something that I should be grateful of. I am so blessed, yes.
While going to the bakery supplies store this morning I met two working people. No they were not from the corporate world nor people with cleaner jobs, they were sales persons. The type of their work was to go from household to household and sell floor brushes (the type of brushes that you could get from Divisoria for P20 a piece). I overheard them talking about the route they were planning to take so they could sell more brushes. Commission based sila siyempre and the guy said that he needs to sell a hundred of those brushes to earn P300 that week. How sad is that?
This encounter made me realize how lucky I am to be earning this much. No, I don’t earn millions (yet hehe)! So what right do I have to be complaining about not having money everyday?
