I’ll state some facts first:

1. This is NOT a paid post.
2. Garnier did not give me any of their products to try.
3. I am not expecting to receive any Garnier products after publishing this (though I won’t definitely say NO should they send some my way haha because I know I’ll be using this product for so long!)

In short, this is one honest review from a real Garnier user.

The Adult Acne Battle

If you are a follower you know for sure of my battle over adult acne. I have blogged about it so many times in probably all my blogs and for years I’ve been ranting about it. Adult acne is one thing I hated the most because it made me insecure and unpretty. I’ve searched high and low for the solution but I only found ‘the one’ on December 2009 through my friend Jennie of Kikay Corner. Please check out my Thanakha review here.

I won the battle and lost all of my pimples. really. no joke.

With Thanakha, you no longer have to use any moisturizers because it’s an all-natural, all-in-1 facial product.

The Maintenance

Upon consuming my first tub of Thanakha, I took the risk of trying out other brands. Thankfully another angel named Pinksushi blessed me with the African Black Soap. Like Thanakha, the African Black Soap is also an all-natural product so it’s a big plus to me!

Pink swears that the product really works though i’ve been warned that the African Black Soap is very drying so one has to use a moisturizer after face cleansing.

FAIL.

I ALWAYS get acne break out whenever I use moisturizers. Told myself that I have to stop using it. But then again, the effects of the product makes me think otherwise. It was really working and I no longer get pimples!

So my next task was to find the missing piece of the puzzle: a moisturizer that will not make my skin break out.

Of course my options were only limited to the ones I can afford so I tried the following brands:

• Brand P and all its variants – it didn’t work, in fact, it made my pimples redder. hate it much!
• Brand O – why does it sting so much? I love the soap though but I was looking for the perfect moisturizer, right?
• Brand G – the only product that didn’t trigger any allergies to my uber sensitive skin! Yes, it’s Garnier, no less!

At first I was hesitant to even try the product because when I think of Garnier, the first thing that comes to my mind is – - – WHITENING.

Ekkkkkk! I hate that word because I have morena skin so if I would dare undergo any whitening treatment it has to be for the whole body otherwise eeeeeek! Maputi ang mukha, maitim and braso’t hita! No way.

But I tried it anyway haha

TADAAAAA!!!!!

Garnier did not only make my pimples disappear, its also ‘erasing’ the pimple marks those nasty zits have left. No it did not make it disappear in a day but the more I use it, the cleaner my face gets.

I am using Garnier for more than a month now and I am still happy with it. As I have said on my previous review, Garnier is mild yet powerful. Using Garnier is like hitting two birds with one stone: it makes my zits go away and it makes my face cleaner and fairer.
